Hey Guys!
So I apologize.... I haven't written for AGES. Oh, well - here's a post!
I am going to write about the film, Harry Potter. I really liked it - the opening sequence was fantastic with- Oh, sorry.... I often give away things, and I wouldn't want all of Idyllwild getting mad at me!
ANYWAY... I was afraid that I would be disappointed, but in my opinion, it was one of the best ones! There was a cartoon sequence, that's ALMOST anime - a new change - and more.
The Rustic Theater is playing it for 3 weeks, I think... So don't be surprised if you see me there again!
I would highly recommend it - though you may be startled at a few points - but it was really fun, jumping up at the same time as the rest of the theater.
So go and try it!

Arf
Hello! This is Zora speaking.
Lately I have been concerned about animals - looking at my new puppy that used to be abused, along with her siblings. I have to face it - I am not one of those people who love their animals more than their parents, and though I have always had a connection with animals, I never had to deal with an abused one 24-7 - she sleeps in my room, also, and drools and shivers when she comes across a man.
Have you heard about ARF, otherwise known as Animal Rescue Friends? It's that dog - cat adoption place up here. It's on the street the town hall is on... It's a place where neglected animals go to, and they are fostered, and later on hopefully adopted. I myself just got my first puppy from ARF. It's an amazing place - however, it needs lots of support. If you aren't ready to adopt a puppy or a kitten, they are open on the weekends, just ready for attention, a treat, or a walk. Anything helps them, especially since they need to get adjusted to people. You could even foster a dog or a cat during the week! It's a really cool place. Occasionally there's an abused pitbull, but you can stay away from them, and most of the time they're really sweet, just neglected.
You also get to find out the stories of the animals - understand them more, which I find very interesting. Sometimes they've been abused, or found wandering around. However, sometimes the animals were really loved but, do to the economy, their owners had to let them go. It is really sad, and of course it's very hard for the furry creatures. Anyway, lend a hand at Arf. They always need support. Or, you could make a small donation.
Thanks! Zora

Games
Hi Everyone!!!
I actually should have written this along with my ball tag post, but... What can you do?
This post is going to be all about games, judging by the name of this post. The following is many games recommended by more than me - by my friends and family, also. They all either cost nothing, or a small amount - after all, this is supposed to be a blog that has easy yet fun things to do!
First of all, Parcheesi. I hate to say it, and who knows what will happen to me now since this is a town of huge gossipers, but... I play Parcheesi against myself when my parents are tired of playing it endlessly with me. Then, they sit, laugh, and watch me play it against myself, surprised that I have a fave team, but I don't let it get away with things. Anyway, it's an awesome game for 4 players, where you try to get your 4 men around the board and into home safely, without being knocked out back to the starting place, or the drawing board, where you can sit and watch your now bitter enemy move 20 spaces - a reward for knocking you out. Even though it sounds tiring and annoying, you might end up being one of those weirdos like me and my friends, who can't get enough of it.
Detectives is a very good game that is fun to play with lots of people. There are two versions of it, actually, listed below.
4 players are probably actually the best amount for this game, if not more... However, you can use 2 or 3 players. Anyway, for this version, divide into 2 teams - detectives, and criminals. Criminals make up a crime - they murdered people and the detectives have to find the bodies, they stole a jewel and the detectives have to find it, etc. Now that the detectives know the crime, the criminals send them somewhere they won't be able to see what they are doing.
The criminals write a series of clues - Giving them the detectives the first one to give them a start. "I have to go to the bathroom" leading to the toilet, where on the toilet there would be another clue, and "I want an apple" leading to the apple bowl would both be very good clues. At the very end, you could hide a "dead" doll, or a "expensive" necklace. The clues will eventually lead to this.
Another version is where you actually have the victims, and you hide them and the clues lead to them. You can put ketchup onto them for blood, or duct tape their mouths - if that's okay with them, of course.
Enjoy!
Zora
Anyway, Gotta go!! My mom has to get on the computer.

Donate now!
Hello Everyone!!
This is Zora, just so you know...
How is your president's week going?? Mine is great!! Anyway, here are a few donations that would be great to donate to if you have any spare money. I know what you're thinking, probably: "Why would i donate spare money when i can play pinball at the pizza place?" Well sometimes I have a hard time with that, too.... BUT I can do both. And you can too. Donate some money - earn it, by selling toys or something. And then you can save maybe 5 bucks or so and go to the pizza place!! Anyway, here are some ideas on how to earn money. Firstly, collect all of those boring toys you have in your room. I know they are hard to get rid of - this is an every day problem for me, or rather the days when I have to clean my room - the dreaded day. Put them in your wagon, and take them around town. Remember to reasonably price them - these are used toys. (You can also make hand made bracelets, earrings, etc. and sell them).
One way to make sure people buy them is to tell them a little about the organization you are going to donate too: talk about the good things about it, and what this money is going to. (See good organizations at bottom).
*Set a goal for how much money you want to earn - make a reasonable amount.
Also, this doesn't have to be an "I'm gonna earn a bunch of money in one day" kind of goal, it can be long term. Anything makes a difference!!
Good places to donate to:
Finca (donating to Haiti right now) Buy an acre of rain forest, in order to protect it, Doctors without Borders, YES, (based in Santa Cruz), and more! You can look up wonderful organizations to donate too on a website called Credo.
Another good website ishttp://www.girleffect.org/. It shows girls having a hard time. It would be worthwhile seeing!! (You can donate to this website)
Good luck!

Ball Tag
Hello -
This is Zora, and I wanted to talk about ball tag. Do you like tag? Well, this is even more fun to me, to my family, and to my brother's friends. First of all, you should have a large yard to play in, since this requires lots of running, and you do not want to be cornered, which can easily happen in a small yard. I would recommend having lots of hiding spots, that are not obvious at all, but where if you were to get found you could easily run away. Here are the steps to get ready for playing ball tag.
1) Get a soft ball that wouldn't hurt if you happened to get hit by it.
2) Get someone to be it, rock paper scissors, or by saying not it.
3) Count to 10 and let everyone run away if you are it.
4) Now run after the people. If you hit them with the ball, that means they are it. You can either throw it or press the ball against them.
tip: If you catch the ball, you aren't it - you can throw it far away from you, too, so that it will take the "it" person a long time to get it back.
This is a really fun game. Hope you play it and enjoy it!

Avatar
hello!!!!!!!
have you seen the new movie Avatar? It is actually a really good movie, even though the commercials make it look bad. We saw it in Imax 3-D and it is awesome! there are some monster -type things and if you see it in Imax 3-D that means that there are 2 story tall monsters jumping at you. Anyway it is about another planet called Pandora and there are some natives there.
Some people from earth go there to find valuable rock ,but the natives won't let them.so they create an avatar ,or an altar ego . when the certain human that the avatar belongs to goes to sleep the avatar wakes up and takes over the persons thoughts . the avatars look exactly like the natives and the avatars are supposed get the natives to move.but a war between the natives and the humans and the avatars must make a choice. It is an amazing movie.there is much more to tell, but I will save it for you to watch.
stay tuned for more

Hi again
Hello everyone!
Are you a weird food lover? If you aren't I wouldn't recommend reading this, actually making this dish, since this has garlic, and oil, and a bunch more abnormal ingredients. Do you like garlic? Are you a major vegetable eater? Because this is a (to me) delicious salad containing a type of dressing called vinaigrette. This is one of my mom's fave salad dressings, since it is soooo easy to make, and soooo healthy. In fact, many of my friends that hate salad (i know, it's kinda weird!) love this recipe. here it is. Enjoy!
First of all, here is how to make the vegetable part of the salad:
1)Get some lettuce, cucumber (not necessary, but cucumbers do taste good with vinaigrette.) , and avocado (also not necessary), and maybe some tomato.
2)Clean and tear up the lettuce in bite - sized chunks. Put in to a large bowl. Partially peel the cucumbers and slice. Add any other veggies like the avocado and tomato.
Recipe for the vinaigrette:
1) Put 2 Tablespoons balsamic vinegar into a soup - sized bowl or jar.
2) Add 1 teaspoon of dijon mustard
3) Press or finely chop 2 cloves of garlic into the mix
4) Add 3 Tablespoons of olive oil
5) Add 2 Tablespoons of flax seed oil (or you can just use 5 tablespoons of olive oil total instead of flax seed oil)
6) Whisk with a fork
7) Add as much salt as you need to taste. (Start with half a teaspoon.)
That's the dressing, now....
drizzle dressing over the salad and toss.
Enjoy! Oh, and happy 2010! It's going to be sooo weird writing /10 at the end of things, right?
